Voyage Management

Comprehensive vessel call and cargo carrier information management

Voyage Management Module | Port Community System

About

The Voyage Management module allows Shipping Agents to register vessel calls and manage voyage-related data through the PCS. Agents can create voyage records, update schedules, and assign coloader such as Freight Forwarders or NVOCCs to submit cargo details linked to each voyage.

The system also supports recurring schedules and provides real-time vessel updates once the ship enters Jamaican waters.

Benefits to Stakeholders

Shipping Agents

Shipping Agents can register vessel calls, assign freight agents, and update voyage information in one place. This improves coordination and reduces the need for back-and-forth communication.

Freight Forwarders and NVOCCs

Freight Forwarders and NVOCCs receive access to voyage schedules as soon as they are registered. This allows them to submit cargo data accurately and on time.

Terminal Operators

Terminal Operators are notified of vessel arrivals in advance. This helps them prepare berth assignments and plan container handling.

Regulatory Agencies

Regulatory Agencies can track vessel movements in real time. This supports inspection scheduling, customs clearance, and port security management.
