Warehouses

Warehouses serve as storage facilities for goods awaiting transportation, clearance, or delivery. These facilities store imported goods temporarily until they are cleared by customs and ready for distribution. They also consolidate goods for export, manage inventory records, and coordinate logistics to ensure that cargo moves seamlessly through the supply chain. The warehouse’s responsibility in the PCS requires it to grant authorization for the shipment to leave the warehouse once customers have fulfilled all their obligations to them.

Key Changes & Improvements

Activity Registration

Key operational activities, such as container stripping and gate movements, are now registered digitally. This enhancement ensures accurate record-keeping, improves traceability, and provides greater visibility and control throughout the logistics process.

Process Acceleration

Internal processes for transfers, stripping, and stuffing activities are now faster and more efficient, thanks to digital workflows that reduce manual steps and enhance coordination among stakeholders.

Documentation Streamlining

The creation of house manifests has been simplified through the PCS platform, allowing users to generate and submit documentation more efficiently and with greater accuracy.

Customs Integration

Coordination with Customs for various warehouse processes has been enhanced through the PCS, enabling real-time information sharing, faster approvals, and improved compliance with regulatory requirements.

Visibility Enhancement

Real-time tracking of goods movement for stakeholders is not yet available; however, this feature is planned for future development to enhance visibility and operational efficiency across the supply chain.

Administrative Efficiency

Administrative effort has been reduced through process automation, allowing stakeholders to focus on core operations while minimizing manual tasks and improving overall efficiency.
